BitPay.com (only accepts Bitcoin) - What to Expect

At a Glance:

1) At BitPay you have 15 minutes to checkout, 2) we provision account(s) after full network confirmation, 3) you might want to do an 'Add Funds' in Member's area for accounts that renew regularly since recurring payments are not automatic

• You will be forwarded to a 3rd party page at BitPay.com to complete the payment
• Once you submit your order, BitPay allows only 15 minutes to complete your transaction before they permanently time out the invoice, so you need to be prepared to send payment when you check out. (This is related to them guaranteeing currency conversion rates and the volatility of BitCoin prices.)
• We provision the account(s) you purchase upon confirmation in 1 block in the blockchain, so the delay after paying should only be around 10-12 minutes or less.
• There is not presently a way to set up recurring payments using cryptocurrencies, so if you purchase an account that renews on a regular basis, it will not pay the renewal automatically. We send invoice overdue notices when a new payment needs to be made. You can log in and pay it from the Member's client area.
• If you purchase a product that renews on a regular basis, you might want to consider using an 'Add Funds' payment in the Member's area to pre-pay for it so that there is no downtime waiting on future invoices to be paid.
• As of 12/26/2017 Bitpay requires invoices be for an amount of at least $5. Purchases whose invoice is less than $5 will fail.

What to Expect:

• You will be forwarded to a 3rd party page at CoinPayments.net to complete the payment
• At CoinPayments.net, you select what currency you want to use to pay
• CoinPayments.net will give you a wallet address and a payment amount to send funds for the payment
• CoinPayments.net allows 4 hours for you to complete the payment - this includes time for confirmations
• We provision the account(s) you purchase upon full network confirmation, which is typically 6 blocks for most coins, but may vary by coin.
